The Kirk

Vows at Clova Kirk, c.1860, a traditional kirk in the Angus Glens, a hundred yards from the celebrations.

Start planning your day

Candlelight on old stone, bagpipes on the breeze - a kirk that has heard centuries of vows, waiting to hear yours.

One wedding at a time. Yours.

Barn, meadow or kirk, twenty guests or a hundred and fifty, however you shape the day, it is built on the same promises.

01

The only wedding on the estate

We host one wedding at a time. While you're here, the glen, the barn and the team are about nobody else.

02

Three days, not a time-slot

Arrive the day before, marry in the middle, leave slowly the day after, and with beds for 88 on the estate, everyone stays with you.

03

Everything's included

Coordinator, set-up, styling, reception drinks, the evening buffet, included from the start, not added at the end.

A day at the kirk

Vows in the kirk, a piped walk down the glen, and the barn waiting with welcome drinks.

The kirk itself

A kirk has stood on this spot for several centuries. The building you'll marry in dates from 1860. It's non-denominational, welcoming religious and humanist services alike, and it seats up to 100 of your favourite people.

The kirk itself

The walk

Many couples walk to the kirk to the sound of bagpipes, then walk back with their whole party behind them. It's about a hundred yards from vows to welcome drinks - no convoy of cars, no car-park shuffle, just one happy procession.

The walk

Booked with the Kirk Trust

One thing to know, plainly: the kirk is booked independently of the hotel, directly with the Kirk Trust. We're happy to help with the contact details, and we arrange everything around it - so the day still feels like one wedding, planned in one place.
