The Meadow

An outdoor wedding in the Angus Glens. Say your vows in our covered meadow pavilion, open to the glen on every side and ready whatever the weather.

Start planning your day

Open to the glen on every side, with a roof for the Highland weather, just the two of you, the people you love, and the hills reaching up all around.

One wedding at a time. Yours.

Barn, meadow or kirk, twenty guests or a hundred and fifty, however you shape the day, it is built on the same promises.

01

The only wedding on the estate

We host one wedding at a time. While you're here, the glen, the barn and the team are about nobody else.

02

Three days, not a time-slot

Arrive the day before, marry in the middle, leave slowly the day after, and with beds for 88 on the estate, everyone stays with you.

03

Everything's included

Coordinator, set-up, styling, reception drinks, the evening buffet, included from the start, not added at the end.

A day on the glen

Say your vows out in the meadow, under or our covered pavilion, then bring everyone home to the barn for the celebrations.

The meadow pavilion

Across from the hotel, a covered timber pavilion sits open to the glen on every side but roofed against the weather, dressed with greenery, fairy lights and ivory flowers. It's where you'll stand to say your vows, the hills rising all around.

The meadow pavilion

The moment itself

Many couples walk in to the sound of bagpipes carrying down the glen. At Corrie Fee, you walk out with your nearest and dearest and toast among the crags with a glass of champagne. However far you wander, the vows are yours and the glen does the decorating.

The moment itself

Back to the barn

After the vows, the celebrations come home, welcome drinks, the wedding breakfast and the evening reception all in the barn, with up to 150 seated and the glen out the windows. And when the dancing ends, nobody calls a taxi: the lodges are steps away.

Outdoor wedding questions

Where can we marry outdoors at Glen Clova?

At the covered meadow pavilion across from the hotel, a timber structure open to the glen on every side but roofed against the weather, with greenery, fairy lights and ivory flowers. It's a level, easy walk from the buildings, so every guest can join you. The lochs and corries higher up the glen, Loch Heath, Corrie Fee, Loch Brandy, aren't ceremony spots, but they're magical for photographs and a wander with your guests.

Is an outdoor wedding legal in Scotland?

Yes. Scots law lets you marry outdoors anywhere in Scotland, which is how we can hold your ceremony out in the meadow, under the open-sided pavilion, rather than inside four walls.

What happens if the weather turns?

The meadow now has a permanent covered pavilion, a timber-framed structure, open to the glen on every side but roofed overhead, so your ceremony goes ahead whatever the Highland weather is doing. You stay dry and sheltered while still being out in the open air, with the hills all around. And the barn is just across the way for the celebrations.

What's included with an outdoor wedding?

within our meadow package which comprises of chivari chairs, greenery décor, fairy lights, wooden arch and large portable speaker.

Where do our guests stay?

On the estate. Glen Clova sleeps up to 88 across nine luxury lodges, each with a private outdoor hot tub, ten hotel rooms, eight steading rooms and two elegant houses.

Can we bring our dog?

Absolutely. An outdoor ceremony suits dogs best of all. They're welcome at the ceremony, in the photos, and in most of the accommodation. See our dog-friendly weddings page for the details.
